Overview
Cameron commenced his pupillage in September 2024 and was called to the Bar in October 2024. As a pupil, Cameron has been supervised by Katie Gray and Carl Fain and has gained experience in a broad range of Chambers’ practice areas.
Before coming to the Bar, Cameron worked as the Lead Advocate at a not-for-profit organisation where he represented tenants and local housing authorities in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) in relation to rent repayment orders.
Cameron has advised the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on reforms to the rent repayment and civil penalty regimes under the Housing and Planning Act 2016 to be made under the Renters (Reform) Bill and Renters’ Rights Bill.
Outside of the law, Cameron is a keen baker and amateur animator, creating animated 3D assets for use in video games.

Notable Cases
- Marigold & Ors v Wells [2023] UKUT 33 (LC) – An appeal concerning whether the Respondent landlord had a reasonable excuse for having control of an unlicensed house in multiple occupation, contrary to the Housing Act 2004 s.72(1). Cameron acted unled for the successful Appellants.
- Jevan v Athansiadi & Anor [2024] UKUT 358 (LC) – An appeal determined by way of written representations which considered whether proceedings may be effectively commenced in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) by sending or delivering to the Tribunal a notice of application even if the appropriate fee has not yet been paid or tendered. Cameron drafted the Statement of Case on behalf of the successful Respondents.
