Grievances are often considered to be a point of no return in the employment relationship, but this need not be the case. In this webinar, Richard Alford will look at grievances from a litigator’s perspective, with the aim of giving practical advice on running an effective grievance process that resolves, rather than increases, conflict. Through worked examples and discussion, the webinar will consider the grievance procedure and what it should contain; the importance of being realistic about timescales; avoiding inadvertent victimisation; running investigations and grievance meetings; and feeding back outcomes. The webinar will include advice on how to run your grievance to reduce the risk of the issues raised turning into claims and, where such claims simply cannot be avoided, to reduce the risk of criticism by Tribunal.
