Philip Rainey KC steps down as Tanfield completes leadership transition

As part of a progression planned in 2024, Philip Rainey KC has now stepped down as Joint Head of Tanfield Chambers, with Andrew Butler KC continuing as sole Head.

Philip, who served as sole Head of Chambers from 2013 to 2024, will be taking well-deserved time to concentrate on his own practice, while remaining committed to continuing to assist Tanfield to grow and flourish. The members of Tanfield Chambers wish to record their gratitude and appreciation for the enormous hard work he has put into building Tanfield into the leading Business and Property Chambers it is today.
