Almost one year since the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 came into force, this Conference will look at where have come to since the advent of the new legislation and the last Conference, picking up key issues arising for the Bar.

This full day conference is designed to assist barristers as well as chambers staff with the day-to-day issues of data protection and information security. What are your clients’ rights as data subjects, and what are your own responsibilities as a data controller or processor? What happens when you go overseas? How does the ICO feature in all of this, and what exactly will the implications of Brexit be?
